NYCU College of Medicine has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Erasmus Medical Center

On December 6, 2024, Dean Shuu-Jiun Wang of NYCU College of Medicine and Professor Antoinette Maassen van den Brink, the representative of Erasmus Medical Center, signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

Erasmus Medical Center is a renowned medical center in Europe with strong research capabilities. This MOU is expected to enhance future exchanges and collaborations in clinical medicine and basic research between faculty members and students of the two institutes. Notably, Dean Wang and Professor Antoinette Maassen van den Brink have been granted by  the “Dragon Gate Program” of Taiwan’s National Science and Technology Council to initiate research in neurosciences. Soon, one postdoctoral researcher will visit Erasmus Medical Center for a year to facilitate the joint research project.

Attendees at the meeting also included Professor Ying-Chyi Chou, Head of the Science and Technology Division of Taiwan’s National Science and Technology Council office to the European Union and Belgium, and Dr. Raoul Tan Hadinagoro, Senior Advisor of the International Affairs and Research Development Office of Erasmus Medical Center.
