The Aryl Hydrocarbon Receptor (AHR) plays a crucial role in environmental sensing within the body and exerts significant physiological regulatory functions. Clinically, drug development targeting AHR is gaining increasing attention, particularly for treating conditions such as cancer, inflammation, chronic kidney disease, pulmonary hypertension, and neuro-immune disorders.
To enhance the exchange of knowledge between domestic and international experts in AHR research, the Institute of Physiology at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University and the Department of Physiology at Taipei Medical University are co-organizing the “2024 International Symposium on Aryl Hydrocarbon Receptor.” The symposium will feature leading international researchers in AHR, as well as prominent domestic scholars studying AHR in various fields such as immunology, cardiovascular, neurological, respiratory, metabolic, and cancer research. This event aims to provide a platform for collaborative research efforts and lay a foundation for Taiwan’s future participation in international AHR conferences.
In order to encourage domestic faculty and student participation, the symposium will waive registration fees. However, due to limited seating, early registration is recommended. A poster presentation area will be available at the venue for attendees to submit and showcase their AHR-related research. A poster competition will also be held to promote the depth and breadth of AHR research in Taiwan.
