Jia-han Lin, Shi-xun Ou, Pin-yu Chen, Yi-wei Guo, and Xin-yin Ji, these five students from Faculty of Medicine and Dept. of Biomedical Engineering won acclaim of College Student Research Creativity Award. Jia-han Lin and Shi-xun Ou both are physician scientist program students. Lin took part in the research topic of phenotypic analysis of mice carrying Kcnd3-F227 deletion for modeling spinocerebellar ataxia type 22. On the other hand, Ou choose Decoy receptor 3 as his research topic to discover whether the protein may induces hair regeneration. Pin-yu Chen joined the lab of Institute of Clinical Medicine and focus on discovering the associations between cell mechanobiology and psoriasis. Yi-wei Guo and Xin-yin Ji are students from Dept. of Biomedical Engineering. Guo tried to use AI-based diagnosis system to create the unified Parkinson’s disease rating scale. Meanwhile Ji with other research members invented an animal image scan system that can combine with the images of luciferase and ultrasound to help researchers diagnose tumors. #CollegeStudentResearchCreativityAward
